Scottish farm chiefs expressed their disappointment with the recent price reduction announced to First Milk dairy farmers at a meeting with the co-operative this week. Rural Affairs Secretary Richard Lochhead said he welcomed the company’s efforts to get on to a more stable footing, but said the cuts, and in particular the 1.2ppl reduction to Bute dairy farmers, would have a severe impact.
